Amanda Rooker, Editor-in-Chief

This is Amanda’s second year on The Express and she is thrilled to be returning as Editor-in-Chief.  She enjoys covering stories that deal with investigative journalism or stories that explore her interests. She loves being a part of The Express because she believes that journalism has the power to inspire and inform while accurately depicting news  for the student body. She’s spent the past two summers studying journalism at Boston University and Northwestern university, and she hopes to continue studying journalism in college. Amanda was previously on ASB for two years, is currently the president of the National History Day club, a part of the SJHHS Cappies team, and is a current member of the Stallion Theater Company and the International Thespian Society. Her passion for journalism led her to join newspaper staff; she is always ready for an opportunity to write and be involved in the school.

A SHINY (AND EXPENSIVE) NEW YEAR FOR ASB: The Aquabotix Hydroview PRO 5m Mini Underwater ROV allows ASB to range deeper into the art of film. For only $13,500, ASB will be able to reach depths of 330’ in complete 720p HD. This camera would provide excellent coverage of water sports and ASB pool parties!
