Congressman Mike Levin of California’s 49th Congressional District spoke to constituents in the SJHHS theater on March 16. During the town hall meeting, Levin addressed a range of issues that impact his constituents. His office commented that while funding should remain stable for CTE programs through the fiscal year of 2025, there are concerns that these programs will need to be reauthorized by Congress or be cut.
During their meeting, the finance plan of Fruition Leather discusses their next steps. The Virtual Enterprise team has had a very successful year, qualifying to go compete in New York over spring break after being awarded 3rd place for finance, 5th for marketing, and 9th in California for their business plan.
Student poses as she logs onto the testing site, Secure Test Browser, for the annual CAASPP testing for the junior class. This year, incentives are given to encourage students to do their best; these include grade bumps, free dance tickets, and parking passes. The school also presented a light-hearted competition between Tesoro High School, hoping to motivate students.
