Sydney is a senior at San Juan Hills entering her third year in The Express. When Sydney isn’t volunteering or playing tennis, you will most likely find her out and about taking photos or hanging out with her friends. She is very passionate about environmental causes and she devotes a lot of her time to both her non-profit organization One Ball at a Time and her recycle club in Rancho Mission Viejo. She is looking forward to her second year as a Photo Editor and is excited to continue to learn more about photojournalism!

Apart from the display of different student showcases, teachers got in on the fun with a game of soccer wearing inflatable bubbles. Dr. Mahindrakar and Mr. Lynde were a few of the brave staff to participate in the festivities, battling each other to stay standing and score.

At the homecoming football game on October 8th, SJHHS win, defeating Capistrano Valley 66-13. This is the Stallions’ second win of the season, following their first victory earned at an away game the previous week. “The win was great, everything was working. Our offense couldn’t be stopped and our defense was locking down. The crowd was great as well. It was the loudest it’s ever been,” said Joey Malfavon (12).
