Senior 2014. I am a writer for the San Juan Hills newspaper. I enjoy soccer, lacrosse, surfing, and paddleboarding. I prefer cold, rainy weather over any weather. I’m planning on attending University of Alaska, Anchorage. I love cats, and I enjoy food. There’s nothing I want more than to travel, besides for my senior year to go by quickly.

INTO THE WILD… SORT OF: Cameron Tilmont (12) and Nicolena Calderelli (12) sit in a grass field to write in their journals and feel inspired by the nature around them. For ERWC, the senior english class, students read articles about the book “Into The Wild” written by John Krakauer and exercise their poetic writing skills by observing how the main character, Chris McCandless, sees nature in a more abstract way. The english classes went on a hike on the trails around school to get a feel for the free-spirited ways of McCandless.
