Hannah Chon is the feature editor for The Express.  She is currently in her last year of high school and has attended San Juan Hills since freshman year.  With a passion for writing she has been a part of The Express for two years.  Aspiring to be a graphic designer in New York City, she also enjoys her free time creating art, designing, baking, and studying high fashion.

Starring in the ABC show “Speechless”, Mia Ferjulian, was featured on the networks episode titled “Oscar Party”. Mia said it was a “split of the moment experience, my actor coach said there was a gig with actress Minnie Driver, my mom loves Minnie Driver, so I was excited. It was also a very daunting process “. Her role on the show was “a daughter named Savannah who was in a walker and the mom was a perfectionist” said Mia. Not only did Mia participate in the televised episode, in her free time she also does cheer, at Coast Spirit Athletics, which is a cheer program that works with disabled students in San Juan Capistrano. Mia doesn't plan on participating in any more acting projects, but she said if the opportunity arises, she might have to take it.

Senior Link Crew Leaders (from Left to Right), Sarah Yeager, Samantha Eden, Kira Rapp, Serenity Church, Liam Childs, Niayla Miller, and Mia Jones greet Freshmen into Linktoberfest with candy, hotdogs, smiles, and halloween spirit. Hundreds of parents and students from CUSD high schools gathered in the SJH gym to view different colleges. Over 50 colleges were represented from all over the US, and even schools from England and Switzerland were present. Sergeant Leona Harvey and Sergeant Francisco J. Flores Marrero were there representing the U.S Army, providing enrollment information and passing out pamphlets to aspiring students. More colleges are due to visit SJH in the following months during tutorial and lunch, but it is only open to juniors and seniors.
