SJHHS Cross Country Looks Forward to New Season

San Juan Hills Cross Country team has climbed up the ranks in the league. With additional coaching staff and new kids every year, soon there will be no stopping them.

All three of the coaches come from fantastic track and cross country backgrounds. Coach White, Coach Price, and Coach Cat will–no doubt–lead them to victory. Even though the team has lost some valuable runners, SJHHS is already standing high in the ranks.

At the last meet, the freshmen team placed first, beating any schools who tried to compete with them. Julian Lasting (9), an outstanding freshman runner, ran a three mile race in just 17 minutes and 31 seconds. With so many more amazing runners on both the boys’ and girls’ teams, SJHHS will surely go to CIF finals. Since there is a meet almost every weekend, it is alway easy for the team to see what they need to improve in order to do even better at the next race.

All of the factors and new additions to the team will assure that both the boys and girls team will be successful in the upcoming season.
