“The Diviners” Takes The Stage

The Stallion Theater Company recently produced a play recounting the life of young Buddy Layman and other townspeople living during the early 1900s in Zion, Indiana.
C.C. Showers, Jacob Koclanis (12), and Jennie Mae Layman, Emery Thompson (10), attempt to rid mentally challenged Buddy Layman, Leo Perry (11), of his ringworm by washing his feet with warm water. Throughout the entirety of the play, the main characters try to relieve Buddy of his uncomfortable infection, but this task proves to be difficult as Buddy is unwilling to go anywhere near water after his own mother drowned.
