Message from Principal Cina Abedzadeh:
Last night, I had the pleasure of watching the Stallion Theatre Company’s production of Sweeney Todd, and it was nothing short of incredible. I went into the show with very little background knowledge, but once I saw the opening “ATTENTION!” warning listing blood, violence, death, flashing lights, cannibalism, and prop firearms, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience. The students absolutely delivered.
From the actors on stage who fully embodied their characters and performed vocally at a level that rivals professional productions, to the orchestra pit whose countless hours of preparation never missed a beat, the talent on display was exceptional. Add to that our technical students in the booth, whose lighting and sound design created a powerful atmosphere that pulled the audience into the story, and it became clear just how special this program is. Our students are remarkably talented, and we are fortunate to be Stallions alongside them as they grow and shine.
None of this would be possible without the incredible educators who lead, guide, and invest so much of themselves into this program. Thank you to Cambria Graff for directing an outstanding production, Dean McElroy for leading the orchestra, Erin Theodorakis for her work as vocal director, Cris Stuart for the choreography, and Thomas Pike for directing the technical elements of the show. Your dedication and passion are evident in every moment on stage.
Bravo to everyone involved. There are still three opportunities to see this show if tickets are available, and I highly encourage you not to miss it.
