Avery Koenig is a sophomore at San Juan Hills High School. This is her first year on The Express as well as the editor for Arts & Graphics. She is eager to indulge in the world of journalism and grow as a writer. Outside of school, she spends her time relishing in her favorite films and antiquing with friends. She is also very passionate about her love for literature and the arts. This year she hopes to broaden her horizons in the realm of journalism.

Doctor of Psychology Chantel Cortinovis speaks about various topics relating to mental health such as common things teenagers struggle with and different ways to deal with anxiety and depression. Dr. Cortinovis was a guest speaker during the “Mental Health Day '' seminar presented by SJHHS students in No Place for Hate.

The OCTA bus stop located in San Juan Capistrano provides free transportation for students ages 6 to 18 through the “Youth Ride Free” bus pass. Although San Juan Hills students do not have access to a bus stop that takes them to campus, the OC youth pass, found in the guidance office, assists students in their search for free transportation.
