Lincoln Review

Steven Spielberg directs another American dramatic hit in his new movie, Lincoln (2012). Lincoln stars Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln and Sally Fields as Mary Todd Lincoln. The movie is very sophisticated with an opening scene that is not for the weak of stomach. Lincoln is a very accurate depiction of our nation’s 16th President and one of his most glorified achievements in the 13th amendment. The movie is full of witty humor while also showing the dramatic and stressful side of his Presidency during the Civil War. The movie has an ending that everyone in the audience sees coming but is still a tear jerker.

Grade: A
Stars: Daniel Day Lewis, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones
Director: Steven Spielberg
