Celeste Cariker is a senior at San Juan Hills and is eager for her second year on The Express staff. This year Celeste is excited to see how she can help grow the newspaper as Co Editor-in-Chief. Celeste works after school and is an avid participant in school district politics. In her free time she enjoys surfing, playing guitar, and cooking. After high school, Celeste is attending Pitzer College where she will be pursuing a career in social justice.
Riley Savage is a freshman at San Juan Hills High School and is stoked to start his first year as a part of The Express. This year, his goal is to help build interest among the student body for the school paper and learn more about The Express. In Riley’s free time, he loves to bodyboard, play sports, hang out with friends, and go fishing.
Mylan West is a junior at San Juan Hills High School starting her first year on The Express staff.She’s excited to contribute to the newspaper through writing. Mylan enjoys hanging out with friends and running in her free time. After high school, Mylan envisions attending a four-year university where she would like to pursue a career in journalism.
Sofia is a junior at San Juan Hills High School and is returning for her third year here on The Express. She has a strong passion for reading, baking, and could listen to music all day. She loves the color pink, watching sunsets, and spending time with her best friend. She is also part of the National Honors Society and CSF. She cannot wait for another fun year being the Photo and Managing Editor with the rest of the Staff.
Lucy Garibaldi is a sophomore at San Juan Hills High School and is excited to begin her first year on the newspaper staff. She is passionate about starting San Juan Hills High School’s first ever podcast! Outside of school, Lucy enjoys baking (and eating her creations!), shopping, spending time with friends and family, and being involved in her church community. Lucy hopes to attend the University of Tennessee and study elementary education after high school.
Gabriella Bello is a sophomore returning for her second year as a member of The Express staff. She is very excited to further grow as a writer and photographer, and take the initiative on starting up the first ever student podcast for San Juan Hills! Outside of school, Gabriella enjoys traveling, being in nature, baking, volunteering, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family. Along with Newspaper, she is also a part of National Honors Society. Gabriella is looking forward to expressing her creativity and leadership this year as the A&E Editor.
Joaquin Serrato is a junior at San Juan Hills High School and this is his second year at The Express. He has ambitions to develop the sports section of newspaper Joaquin is often seen holding a camera on the Stallion Football sideline under the Friday night lights. His hobbies consist of watching sports, playing pickup basketball, and relaxing at home. Joaquin plans to attend a four-year university and has dreams of being a play-by-play sports commentator.
Zaleeya Dhalla is a sophomore at San Juan Hills High School. This is her first year on The Express staff and she is overjoyed to strengthen her writing and people skills. At her previous school Zaleeya had her own column in the school newspaper. She is very business savvy due to her girl scouts experience and her jewelry business. She is a creative and helpful person hoping to attend college and a career in cosmetology after high school.
