True North Christian Club Leads the Way
True North Christian Club– Members of the club meet every Wednesday to give out a message from the Bible. Verses are also shared that may be applied to high school life and situations. One of the main topics discussed in the meetings is what Jesus did for the people and how he died on the cross.
“It’s such a really cool way for us to like get together as Christians and talk about the Bible as well as bringing people in to see hopefully people come to church and become Christians who aren’t right now,” said club president Taylor Jeffcoat (12).
The club also brings pizza about once a month which helps drive new people to the meetings and encourage more students to join. After the pizza days at school, leaders of the club hold events at Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo which is an opportunity for new people to come and join.
The SJHHS club is supported by True North ministries, and the club’s main goal is to spread the word of Christ to students on campus.
Jeffcoat loves to “see people understand the Bible… and also seeing people who maybe are Christians, but don’t really know how to live as a Christian on campus. Seeing them grow and find ways to obey Christ and to tell people about Jesus on campus… our main, main goal would be to see people who aren’t Christians become Christians.”
Members of the group are looking forward to bringing new knowledge of God to students.
