Theme Parks Taking on COVID-19
Due to Coronavirus, many great parks, like Disneyland, Knotts, and Universal Studios have been shut down.
With most things reopening, including dine in restaurants, and movie theaters at a very little capacity, people have been wondering when they will get to enjoy the excitement and thrill of the Incredicoaster again.
“For me I really want to go, I wish they could reopen because the virus really has gone down. A lot of people are bored, and people have bought passes and had to be restricted from going,” said Landon Morrow, a freshman at Dana Hills High School.
The truth is, no body knows when theme parks are going to reopen. Disneyland has made numerous changes and added new safety protocols, in hopes to advance from Widespread, Substantial, and Moderate to Minimal. Downtown Disney has chosen to reopen under strict guidelines. These rules include, but are not limited to specific parking areas, mandatory facial coverings for everyone ages 2 and up, social distancing, and temperature screenings.
You do not have to pay any money to go to Downtown Disney, but beware, the lines are outrageous.
“It was super fun, but the lines were super long. I would definitely recommend,” said Tatum Metz, a freshman at San Juan Hills.
In addition to Disneyland, Universal Citywalk is currently open for business. You can walk around, shop, take-out food, and just enjoy the rides. The same safety protocols are in place for Universal Citywalk as they are for Downtown Disney.
With all of the change due to Coronavirus, the world has been struggling to understand what is going to happen in the future. After restaurants and shops have reopened, it really makes us wonder how life is going to work, and what the new normal is going to be.
Coronavirus may have kept us down for awhile, but hopefully we can all find our differences, and come back stronger than ever.
