The SJHHS Cross Country and Water Polo programs have teamed up with an organization known as Clothes for the Cause that helps schools, sports teams, churches, missions, nonprofits, and families support their fundraising efforts.

Clothes For The Cause receives and collects numerous textiles, articles of clothing, and shoes and turns all those materials into cash for the program that sets up the fundraiser.

This fundraising program is not an average one that involves selling $1 candy bars or knocking door-to-door. It creates opportunities that help make the world a bit better by improving the environment, providing clothes for the needy, and overall making a great impact.

They provide the groups in charge, in this case the two sports teams, with tools to create a clothing drive with donations that can be put into trailers and sent to the Event Planners in Orange County to work their magic on all the second-hand materials.

After the trailers are filled, the groups will receive a check for their efforts and then it is a win-win. Clothes For The Cause can help people and the fundraising group receives money as well as the families decluttering their homes of unwanted materials.
