Student Photos from a Trip to the Getty

AP Art History students went on a field trip with teacher Rob Lynde to the Getty Museum last week. The students observed a variety of structures and architecture. Pictured, the “Sarcophagus” depicts a couple whose remains are contained within the vessel. It is estimated that it was created around 180-200 A.D. The sides of the sarcophagus show scenes relating to the life of Achilles. It is unknown who created the sarcophagus.
