Political Candidates Lack Diplomacy on Foreign Policy

In the 2016 election, there are four main candidates who are dominating the political scene. Ben Carson (R), Donald Trump (R), Hillary Clinton (D), and Bernie Sanders (D) have hawkish foreign policy views that could damage America.

The former Apprentice star, Donald Trump, is looking to abuse any non-ally country. This outlandish demagogue believes that Mexico will pay to build a wall that would stop undocumented citizens from entering America. He claims that it would work similar to the wall that separates Israel and Palestine. Well, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has continued for decades without any true solution. Simply building a wall adds more time, money, and problems. It does not solve foreign policy issues.

Brain surgeon Ben Carson cannot make up his mind on foreign policy. He claims that we should follow Israel’s stance on the Iran Nuclear Deal without knowing what’s going on. Carson’s trying to stick with Israel’s stance without doing the extra research on the deal. The brain surgeon has even said that he lacks the knowledge and expertise to handle foreign policy issues. Carson’s head is simply in the clouds.

The leading Democratic candidate,  Hillary Clinton, has extremely radicalized views on foreign policy. Clinton pushed for the Iraq War which resulted in the deaths of many Americans and Iraqis. This foreign policy blunder started the rise of the terrorist group ISIS. Also, Clinton (if elected) is looking to kill the Iran Deal. The death of the Iran Deal would cause an arms race in the Middle East and kick-start a dangerous war. Potentially, America, Israel, Iran, and several other countries would engage in a bloody war if the Iran Deal gets revoked. Clinton’s presentation seems diplomatic, but she is arguably the least diplomatic candidate.

Last but not least, Bernie Sanders, the socialist, continues to stay secretly hawkish on foreign policy. Sanders supported the war in Afghanistan that has resulted in the death of over 2,000 Americans. The self-proclaimed diplomat has even supported Israel’s occupation of Gaza. Israel’s occupation of Gaza has decimated Palestinian lives. In 2014, (July 8th to August 27th) more than 2,100 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza strip. It’s difficult to believe in Sanders as diplomatic when he supports this type of action. The Vermont socialist has a lot of explaining to do especially in regards to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
These candidates engage in radicalized views that can result to the deaths of Americans and citizens of other countries. The rationalization to support the occupation and deaths of others will contribute to our nation’s astronomical debt. This dangerous mindset to colonize and imperialize upon other countries is sickening. If you have any morals, you would not support the hawkish mindsets of these candidates on foreign policy.
