Girls Can Ball Too
The girls’ volleyball team at San Juan Hills High School is very determined to do well this season. The team goal is to make it into CIF and win.
“It would be awesome to make it into CIF but overall having fun and having a great senior year with the team,” said Kayla Tinker (12), one of the captains.
Despite their record of 1-3, girls’ volleyball has continued to work hard and has made it to CIF two straight years in a row.
“We work hard as a team and I believe we will make it into CIF,” says McKenna Merda, a member of the team.
The energy and support the students and fans bring make the game that much better. There is no doubt that our school brings amazing school spirit and an unbelieveable amount of energy to keep our girls going.
Many athletes hope to play for college or in a professional league. Girls’ volleyball attend many tournaments and more than likely there is a college scout there looking for players.
“I would like to stay in California but anywhere I’m playing volleyball is ideal,” said Tinker.
