What’s more exhilarating than sending funny faces and videos to your friends for only 10 seconds? Nothing. Snapchat gives that ability to smartphone users. It allows you to send up to about 80 characters of text on top of the picture/video and you also have the option of drawing pictures on them.
But here lyes the issue; people are using it as a form of sexting. Sexting is the act of sending provocative pictures over any form of messaging.
Even though it can only be sent for lets say 2 seconds, it is still seen. So don’t think that it could be gone forever, because there are ways of saving it regardless of the amount of time it’s on the screen.
So these people that are using the app for that purpose could be ruining the enjoyment for users. And you never know when you click on that picture if its gonna be a face, or something completely unexpected.
Now with the feature that it gives you to screenshot the picture/video, that picture could be kept forever in someones phone to be seen by who knows who, maybe no one, or maybe a ton of people.
If you’re caught with these pictures and over 18, you could be convicted as a sex offender because some of it can be classified as child pornography. For something as little and insignificant, compared to a majority of other crimes, is silly to be caught for. So lets just save everyone from getting convicted of this, and not do it.
Don’t send those kind of sexual pictures because you never know what could come of it. It’s a scary thought to think because of having naked pics, you could go to jail.
