Proudly posing after their dynamic performance, pep rally MC’s Chase Walburger (12) and Zack Smith (12) show the student body how to properly RFTB. Smith shocked the crowd after quickly changing into a Mr. Incredible costume in order to reveal the 2024-2025 Homecoming theme: The Incredibles.

Dancers, Zoe Lewis (11), Carlie Schafer (9), Saelah Dinnie (9), and the rest of the SJHHS Dance program recreated the iconic opening scene from La La Land for the Winter Formal Pep Rally. The program hired a professional videographer and staged a fake traffic jab on campus for their recreation.

Sophomore Madyson Macabale debuted as a soloist at the SJHHS Christmas choir concert with “The Christmas Song (Chesnuts Roasting on an Open Fire).” Her stage presence and strong vocals are sure to bring her far.

Stallion Round-Up 11/15 - 12/6
Performing their prepared routine Free, the beginning intermediate dance group including Charlotte Paxton (9), Hannah Sedgwick (11), Alex McNutt (9), Lila Jackson (10), Elie Degroot (10), Holly Brando (11), Queanna Nguyen (11), and Audrey Chi (10), all take off their propped costume for the crowning end of their dance as a metaphorical symbol of breaking free from conformity.
Fusion: Winter Dance Showcase
During the halftime of varsity football’s first round of CIF game, the marching band gave a great performance. All season long, these Stallions have brought out school spirit and shown the crowd how to RFTB.

Domenica Peloso is a senior at San Juan Hills High School, and a third-year opinion editor for The Express. For this up and coming year, Domenica hopes to uncover the important stories of her diverse community. Outside of The Express, she is President of National Honors Society, ASB Commissioner of Multicultural, and proud leader of the SJHHS Movie Club. In her free time, Domenica enjoys thrifting the most abominable clothing items known to mankind, and watching a variety of media ranging from nonsensical garbage (Love Island) to movies equitable to the original Mona Lisa (Call Me by Your Name, Kill Bill, Howl's Moving Castle).
