Step-by-Step Makeup Tutorial: A Quick Look You Can Achieve Before School

Makeup is used as a form of art and expression commonly among adolescents who tend to experiment with different products and looks. Most teens are known for their notorious time getting ready ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. This is due to the fact that their morning routine may be too long or detailed. Teens may fall victim to perfecting a long and heavy makeup routine for school. Using too many products and applying heavy makeup can cause for a long morning routine. Follow these steps and strategies for a quick getting ready process.

Makeup Steps:

Step 1 (Facial Prep and Base):

Start with a clean face then gently apply a moisturizer of your choice all over your face followed by a primer. Apply a foundation or concealer in these areas then blend with your choice of a beauty blender or brush. Be sure to blend in a gentle tapping motion not dragging.

Step 2 (Contour, Blush and Highlight):

Apply a contour in these areas to sculpt the face then blend in a similar motion to Step 2. Add a loose powder and let sit for 10 seconds before lightly dusting with a fluffy brush. Apply a choice of liquid or powder blush and highlight on these higher areas of the cheekbones and blend upwards.

Step 3 (Lips):

With a lip liner of your choice, outline the lips (overline a bit if you would like) then with a lip color of your choice fill in. You can get creative with a slightly darker color lip liner on the edges and corners of your lips. Finish matte or glossy.

Step 4 (Brows and lashes):

Gently brush brows with a spoolie (optional) then apply a few coats of mascara moving the bristles side to side and up and down. Repeat until satisfied with length and volume. Be sure to avoid clumps from too much product. You can also use a black eyeliner or eyeshadow on your waterline. You can use an angled brush to create a smoky wing to make the eyes pop!
