Stallion Showcase Draws Visitors

Prospective SJHHS students and their parents got the opportunity to ask questions, take tours, and listen to informational presentations on February 6th at the annual Stallion Showcase. Put on by ASB, Link Crew and other SJHHS staff, the Stallion Showcase gave middle school students information on SJHHS academics, sports, arts, clubs and other activities.

Mental health struggles in youth is a huge problem. Many adolescents tend to bottle up their emotions and look to unhealthy solutions to their problems. Poor mental health can cause adolescents to struggle with their school work and grades, as well as impacting many other areas in their life. Because of this, going to therapy, asking for guidance, and having support is crucial for improving poor mental health.

Leaving the dance room after rehearsing various routines, Amelia Mui (12) heads home to complete her school work, which she balances with dance training on a daily basis. “It can be stressful at times but planning ahead for the week and knowing if I have a certain rehearsal on a certain day, I learned to prioritize my time and manage it,” said Mui.
