Best-Selling Book at San Juan

Yearbook is a yearlong course that gives students 5 credits per semester in the fine art requirement. In this class, students will focus on formatting and filling the yearbook full of memorable photos from every school event.

The yearbook class is “Not like a typical class where you can expect that this is going to happen today, this is going to happen this week, things change. [There is] never a dull moment…we have fun, and then there is stress, and relaxation. It’s a great way to prepare for college; great way to prepare for life.” Said Mr. Norgren.

Yearbook is a great class for any student who enjoys digital design and wants to learn how to use software designed for professionals.

The yearbook adviser, Mr. Norgren said that the class works “in teams, we are assigned tasks and we complete the tasks. People who have skills with writing, photography, and people skills.”

Student, Sara Stickler(12) said that “If you like being a part of school but you don’t want to join a club this is something where you can see everything happening and you get to be a part of everything that goes on and you get to enjoy it.”

Students wanting to join this class should have some background or interest with photography.

Emily Daigneault(12) said that she “always enjoyed taking photos and I thought it would be a great outlet to develop skills and see what I can actually make and capture.”

In order to get into the class, students must complete an application and be accepted, along with having taken Digital Photo 1A/1B or having equivalent experience with another class.
