DAY OF THE DEAD: Sophomores Victor Rodriguez and Chris Gardea evaluate a Dia De Los Muertos project in the library. The project was a part of a Spanish class study of a holiday important to Latin American culture. Students made “altars” to either a deceased family member or to a pop culture icon. Students had to include items that were symbolic of the person’s life. They were judged in the categories best overall, most creative and most sentimental value.
