Taking on the Refugee Crisis

One of the most controversial and tragic issues facing the world today is the Syrian Refugee Crisis and how to handle it.

Some say that it is our responsibility to let them in and house them, while others do not want to let them into our country.

It is sad that millions of people must flee their homes for their safety, and many Americans say that we must let them into this country, feed them, house them, and give them jobs.

It is not safe or smart to let in these refugees. The problem with letting these people into our country is that we do not know who these people are and what their true intentions are. It is sad that it has come to this. One of the shooters in the Paris shooting came into the country as a refugee, and we are now learning of individuals that came over as refugees but are truly radical islamists that want chaos and death.

Unfortunately, we have politicians like President Obama and Hillary Clinton who are unwilling to call these terrorists as they are, radical islamists.

Hillary Clinton explained that she won’t use the term “radical Islam” because it “sounds like we are declaring war against a religion.”

While most of these refugees are completely innocent and are truly looking for a new, safe home, there are some individuals that turn out to be radical islamists.

To simplify this situation for my liberal friends, imagine this: you have one thousand M&Ms. Out of these thousand M&Ms, ten of them are very poisonous. Would you take the risk and eat these m&ms or feed them to your children, friends, or family? Of course not. That is simply common sense that you would not take a risk that could result in death, but many Americans do not understand that.

The job of the government is first and foremost to protect the citizens of the United States. They are putting us in danger by letting in these refugees. The government needs to completely re-do their immigration system, because it is failed. We need to be able to do effective background checks.

Democrats seem to want extensive background checks on those trying to purchase firearms but do not care about doing background checks on those coming into this country. We should not allow anyone with any ties to radical groups into our country.

If a mosque will not condemn radical actions, they need to be searched and checked. There were a few mosques in Europe that would not condemn radical actions, they were searched and it turns out that their were many weapons in that mosque.

I’m not saying that we shouldn’t let Muslims into this country, or that we shouldn’t help the refugees. Of course we should continue letting people from the world’s biggest religion into America, but we shouldn’t be letting in refugees. We should be helping them overseas and start letting other countries closer to them help. The biggest priority we should have is keeping Americans safe.
