Justin Bieber New Found Purpose

“Bieber faces assault charges.” “Justin Bieber is arrested for dangerous driving.” These are just a two top headlines that the popular young man, Justin Bieber, has been accused of in the last two years.

Bieber is back and this time with a smashing album. He has moved away from the teeny pop girls and the screaming tweens to people that can truly appreciate his talent.

Bieber has faded out from his “Baby” days where he felt he was just producing for his fans not for his heart. Ed Sheeran, Skrillex, and Travis Scott were just some of the artists that Bieber collaborated with on the new album.

The first song released on Purpose was “What Do You Mean?” It was written by Bieber, Boyd, and Levy. It can be described as a catchy song with piano chords, tropical synths, and a sick beat.

Bieber and Ed Sheeran slowed things down with “Love Yourself.” This song has a great melody but leaves you wondering who the songs is about. In the lyrics, “My mama don’t like you and she likes everyone and all the clubs you get in using my name” one might conclude it is intended for Selena for Kendall.

However, in the music video, you see a girl and boy fighting throughout the house. The girl leaves only to come back and realizes he’s gone.

His personal life is explained throughout the song “I’ll Show You.” Bieber reveals that he is only human, but because he is constantly in the limelight, he feels that people make assumptions about his life. Bieber wants to prove that he has learned from his past mistakes, and that he has turned his life around despite the negative coverage in the media.

In many interviews, Bieber expresses how he enjoys every part of Purpose because it’s just another part of his journey to adulthood and becoming a better writer and vocalist. The songs on the album all have a very clear message that embrace Bieber’s past and present. He also explains that timing is everything when dropping an album and luckily he hit the jackpot with Purpose. He was number one in several other countries including U.S. and U.K. in less than five minutes.

Bieber describes his new album as “breathtaking.” The hardest part for Bieber was removing songs which can be seen as really personal since the songs came from the heart. He explained how every artist that comes out with an album explains it as “different.” He knows this one is different, but he is just most excited for how awesome it is.
